Fuzio Bar KL - Italian at its finest
A foodie meetup was organized by Zomato yesterday at Fuzio Bar KL Bukit Bintang.
As soon as we sat down, soft home made bread and bread sticks were served to us. Then came the
1) FUZIO ANTIPASTI - A platter including ham, smocked duck, lamb sausages, tomato caprese, eggplant topped with cheese, tomato bruschetta and cheese.
This was a platter for 6-8 people and platter for two costs RM88. The first dish itself was so good that I couldn't wait for the rest.

The main highlight for me in the Antipasti was the Beef wrapped in Sweet Melon - perfect mix of sweet and salt. The lamb sausages are made by them and I never knew eggplant could taste this good!

2) Toppa Toscana - (RM22)
Oh what a lovely soup. Such strong flavors.

3) Spaghetti di Coda di Bue - Spaghetti in ariabatta sauce with meat.
This might be a bit spicy for non-spicy eaters but that's actually the fun part about the pasta. So many different herbs and spices combined in this pasta.

Now came the main course
4) Filetto di Manzo alla Griglia (RM98)- Grilled Agnus beef tenderloin served with mushroom cartoccio in black pepper sauce.
The beef was grilled medium and the mushrooms totally complemented the beef. The way it was served was beautiful (look at the flowers and leaves around)

5) Merluzzo Al Forno (RM88) - Baked cod fish served with pesto mashed potato.

Just look at it! who could resist such a presentation? More than the cod, I preferred the pesto mashed potatoes. The sauces I feel could be more flavorsome.
6) Cremegliera di Agnello (RM76) - Grilled lamb rack topped with goat cheese and rocket salad.
Love! Love! Love! The was totally how I like it 'Medium'. Plus surprisngly the anchoivies sauces that was topped was mellow.

This was followed by two pizza
7) Funghi Pizza (Rm32) - topped with button mushrooms with drizzle of truffle oil.
This pizza was on the opposite end from where I was sitting and I could smell the mushrooms till here. The flavors in your mouth just explode. Oh what a delight!
8) Fuzio Pizza (RM40) - topped with Rabbit Meat and rocket leaves.
This is the most talked about dish here. It was my first time trying rabbit meat and tasted similar to chicken. The pizza was fab and the rocket leaves just capped with the meat giving it a wonderful taste

Now came the most important part of any meal... DESSERTS...
9) Mille Feuille - A french pastry , traditionally, made up of three layers- puff pastry, cream and sugar/cocoa.

As you see here, the puff is the biscuit here, a layer of whip cream topped with ice cream and chocolate straw. I don't mind eating this for lunch everyday.
10) Panna Cota (RM24) - An italian dessert made with sweetened cream.
I was expecting this to be really sweet but to my surprise it totally wasn't. Plus the strawberry syrup on top gave it a tangy taste which made it even more yummier.

11) For Drinks we ordered
- Fresh Orange juice
- Fuzio Killer (RM 34) - A refreshing drink with fresh mint leaves with rum, vodka, triple sec and sweet & sour. - A virgin drink also available for the same.
- Frankenstein (RM58) - Rum, vodka, tequila, gin, limencello topped with red wine.
The amazing part is that the drink should be sipped without mixing it and last layer of the drink will give you the kick. For me this was the highlight of the evening.

The Ambiance of Fuzio is total classy and elegant. the restaruant has three floors and all the floors are built differently. The ground floor is a bit a chilled out with paintings of local artists (for sale), second floor is quite the 'candle light' types and the third floor is the lounge which overlooks the view of KL.
People find it hard to locate, but its just one street behind the main Changkat line of bars and restaurants. Parking is also not an issue, as there are parking areas nearby plus the outsider valet service is also there.
As for the staff they were well spoke and well informed. Even before we wanted something, they would be at our table asking what we would like. Hats off to the management and Zomato for making this a lovely evening.
NOT TO BE MISSED?
1) Fuzio Antipasti
2) Funghi Pizza
3) Panna Cota
4) FRANKENSTEIN
Literally, its the first time I've enjoyed an antipasti so much. I think even a antipasti serving with Frankenstein would make my evening.
